indefinite quantity

To indicate an indefinite quantity we generally use the preposizion “DI” + definite article (they form a single word): SOME and ANY =

UN bicchiere di latte — DEL latte = A glass of milk — some milk

UN fiore (singular) —- DEI fiori (indefinite, plural quantity)  = A flower — some flowers

UN pollo (singular) —- DEL pollo (indefinite quantity)  = A chicken —- some chicken
